The Doers of Tacoma Awards celebrate the builders, dreamers, and quiet changemakers who move our city forward.
This award honors individuals who don’t just talk about ideas — they roll up their sleeves and make things happen. From neighborhood organizers and artists to entrepreneurs, educators, and public servants, Doers of Tacoma recognizes those whose work strengthens our civic fabric and reflects the grit, generosity, and creativity that define Tacoma.
At the heart of this initiative is a simple belief: doing what we believe in is a moral responsibility. Action is not optional — it is one of the most important design elements of a meaningful life. A life that serves not only ourselves and our families, but reaches beyond us. A life that contributes. These awards are not about titles or spotlight moments. They are about impact. They are about courage. They are about Tacoma.
We invite the community to nominate the Doers in their lives through a brief application form available at this link, and help us celebrate those who are shaping our city through action and one thoughtful, determined act at a time.
Thank you.
